Triangulum
(ra: 5:41,9 / dec -01:51)

DATA
TYPE: Spiral Galaxy
VISUAL MAGNITUDE: 5,7
SIZE: 62 arc minutes
DISTANCE: 3 millon light years
OBJECT DESCRIPTION
The Triangulum Galaxy M33 is a prominent member of our Local group. It is a difficult target from my location, and that is the reason why the image looks so fuzzy. This Galaxy is bigger than the average size of spiral galaxies, but compared to M31, Andromeda is relatively small. M33 spiral arms are particularly rich in star forming regions HII
The Triangulum Galaxy was probably first found by Giovanni Batista Hodirena before the independent rediscover of Charles Messier in August 25, 1764.
