OBJECT DESCRIPTION
NGC 1977 is one of the brightest Reflection Nebula in the sky. Half a degree north to the Orion Nebula has been relatively ignored because the magnificence of it companion. The name came after the silhouette appearance of a running man . It is part of the well known Orion Sword. The image shows the complex and 1977-75-73. The blue clouds are invaded by dark reds paths of ionized gas shaping the figure mentioned. A tempting target for astro photographers, however hard to see from suburban skies.
